For nearly 60 years, Lochearnhead has had a special place in the hearts of the Scouts of Hertfordshire, creating enduring memories that stay with our young people for the rest of their lives. Ensuring we can continue to offer these experiences is incredibly important to us – and supported by the generous bequest from Maurice Baker – we are able to take a huge step on that journey. The County Executive, working with representatives of Lochearnhead users and a local architect, have developed exciting plans that will enable young people and adults to develop and learn skills for life in an amazing environment.
We will be submitting plans to the National Park and Stirling council in the next few weeks and subject to their agreement works will commence in the New Year, with the Station re-opening in the Summer, ready to celebrate 60 years and then look to the future to many more people securing Lochearnhead in their hearts.
Look out for your opportunity to view the plans and understand how we are taking the Station forward - dates, times and booking details to be published shortly.
