Lochearnhead Scout Station is open to

Scout Groups, Girl Guiding Groups, Schools, Youth Organisations, DofE,

Overnight Expeditions for DofE, Overnight Practice Expeditions

Lochearnhead Main Station

The Main Station consists of a main hall, a dining room for between 32-40 people, an equipped kitchen and

a laundry room.

Camping

There is also space for camping with the Main Station.​

Additional camping can be found on the sidings. This can either be booked with the station or independently when the Station is not booked for exclusive use. Camp fees include use of allocated toilet and shower facilities, but exclude other Station facilities.

The Ranger Cabin

This bunkhouse style facility sleeps ten - two rooms of 4 and one room of 2. It has its own entrance area and seating area and will have a covered area outside to enable you to use your own stoves.​

The Ranger Cabin has its own dedicated wet room, this is on the platform and accessible separately from the Main Station Building.

This facility can be booked separately from the Main Station.

Toilets and Showers

The station has 12 wet rooms situated across the site, these include toilet and shower in individual cubicles and a basin with hand dryer in a communal area to the front. These are allocated to specific rooms and share the same entry code as the rooms. There are also 2 accessible wet rooms - one in the Main Station and one by the log cabins.

General Information

​

Access throughout the Station is generally by code lock, with the appropriate codes being provided by the bookings team before your stay. There is 24 hour access to a duty manager in case of emergency – they may be based in either Scotland or Hertfordshire.

 

Free Wifi is available throughout the Station Buildings, subject to agreement to our terms of usage. Leaders will be provided with passwords that allow 24 hour or 12 hour access at their discretion.

 

For your safety the Station has a modern fire alarm system throughout, remotely monitored CCTV for exterior areas and Defibrillator situated in the Red Phone Box on the platform.

 

First Aid equipment is not supplied and it is the responsibility of each group to make appropriate provision.

 

For your comfort and to enable us to be as sustainable as possible, heating is controlled throughout by an intelligent heating control system, which allows us to remotely bring the temperature up in preparation for your arrival and lower it upon your departure.

 

Please report any damages or maintenance required during – or at the end of – your stay. An inventory of equipment will be taken after your departure and you may be liable for losses or damages.

 

A recycling point is provided for your waste, which is segregated by type for collection by Stirling Council.
